A/N: Week 6 of the 52 short stories in 52 weeks. A story about finding something that has been lost.
Not everything is lost forever.
Sometimes, what you’re looking for is right in front of you. Other times, it’s hidden beneath memories and feelings. But once in a while, the very thing you thought you’d lost is right in front of you. It might be broken, it might be damaged and tarnished, but it’s there, whatever it is.
Don’t give up on the lost pieces of your past. They might surprise you one day.
They might be just what you need.
One day, when you find the lost thing you’re looking for and you think of me, I hope you do so kindly. And even though, I was not your lost piece to find, I will do the same for you.
May we meet again, in this life or the next, my love.
