This book definitely was just that.
Hooked from the very beginning I followed the novel’s protagonist, an indexer called Marjorie, on her quest to solve the recent murders that had been happening in her hometown.
Caught up in a murder mystery that somehow involved the Norse Gods of Old, she finds out that her town and its people weren’t the friendly, easy going faces she was used to seeing.
After the death of her friends, an old amulet is given to her by Hilo, the town’s sheriff, but it all takes a drastic turn when the killer begins to follow her.
In what can only be described as an intense page turner, I followed Marjorie’s footsteps as she took a stance and delved into a tale that involved Loki, Thor and Odin, a story that was full of deception, family love and lies, a lot like this book itself.
Take a read for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.
